Shimmer & Matte Series No. 2

I wore a grey dress and pink nail polish to a friend's recent birthday party and decided to be matchy matchy with my make-up -- which I hardly do. Grey is also THE color this fall be it clothes or eyeshadow. I love the soft drama of this look.

Brushes you'll need:

- MAC #'s 214 (short shader brush), 217 (blending brush), 242 (shader brush), 222 (tapered blending brush), Small Angle Brush (263), and 116 (blush brush)

- MAC Eyeshadows in Blanc Type, Vanilla, Dazzlelight, Da Bling, Sushi Flower, Copperplate, & Satin Taupe
- MAC Paintpot in Painterly
- MAC Powder Blush in Dame
- MAC Lipstick in Hug Me
- MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

Supplemental: - A brow-filling product - Mascara

Eyes...

[* Cover the entire lid from below the brow to the lash line with Painterly using your finger.
[* Apply a mixture of Blanc Type & Vanilla underneath the brow bone extending down to the crease (217).
[* Apply a touch of Dazzlelight to the tear duct (242).
[* Apply Da Bling to the inner third of the lid (242).
[* Apply Sushi Flower semi-liberally to the middle of the lid to just above the crease, blending it with Da Bling (242).
[* Cover the entire area underneath the crease with Woodwinked (242).
[* Apply Copperplate to the outer third of the lid and extending across the crease in a sideways comma shape (","), blending it with Sushi Flower (222).
[* Go over Copperplate, darkening the grey with Satin Taupe (222).
[* With a bit more Blanc Type & Vanilla on your brush, blend the highlighting colors & the colors at the crease together (217).
[* Apply Satin Taupe to the lower lash line (214).
[* Line the upper lash line with Blacktrack (263).

Cheeks...

[* Using a light hand, apply Dame to the apples of the cheeks extending outward toward the hairline (116).

Lips

[* Apply the pinky nude color, Hug Me, to lips.
