Face Book #1: Julie - Cosmephile

The lovely Julie took me up on an offer that I posted on Facebook for a free makeover. I was originally trying to channel Rachel McAdams's make-up during The Time Traveler's Wife film premiere, but the look ended up channeling a little bit of Cat Deeley instead. Either way, I think she looks lovely.

Brushes you'll need:

- MAC #'s 214 (short shader brush), 217 (blending brush), 242 (shader brush), 222 (tapered blending brush), Small Angle Brush (263), and 116 (blush brush)

Products you'll need:

- MAC Eyeshadows in Blanc Type, Vanilla, All That Glitters, Soft Brown, Satin Taupe, Woodwinked, and Copperplate
- MAC Paintpot in Painterly
- MAC Powder Blushes in Dame and Shimmersweet
- MAC Mattene Lipstick in 40's Pink, MAC Cremesheen Glass in Fashion Scoop
- MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

Supplemental: - A brow-filling product - Mascara

Eyes...

[* Cover the entire lid from below the brow to the lash line with Painterly using your finger.
[* Apply a mixture of Blanc Type & Vanilla underneath the brow bone extending down to the crease (217).
[* Apply All That Glitters to the inner half of the eye (242).
[* Apply Soft Brown to the outer half of the lid (242).
[* Brush Copperplate from the outer corner of the lid to almost all the way across the crease (222).
[* Dab Woodwinked onto the outer corner of the eye extending color in a flattened triangular shape [align the point you've just made with the outermost point of the brow] (222).
[* Further darken the outer corner and crease with Satin Taupe (222).
[* With a bit more Blanc Type & Vanilla on your brush, blend the highlighting colors & the colors at the crease together (217).
[* Apply Satin Taupe to the lower lash line (214).
[* Line the upper lash line with Blacktrack (263).

Cheeks...

[* Using a light hand, apply Dame to the apples of the cheeks extending outward toward the hairline (116).

Lips

[* Apply the pinky nude color, Hug Me, to lips.
