Shimmer & Smoke

This was the look I sported during my birthday/Christmas party.  This is probably the most dramatic/darkest I've ever gone as far as smoky eyes go. 





Brushes you'll need:

- MAC #'s 214 (short shader brush), 217 (blending brush), 242 (shader brush), 222 (tapered blending brush), Small Angle Brush (263), and 116 (blush brush)


Products you'll need:


- MAC Eyeshadows in Blanc Type, Vanilla, Satin Taupe, Smut, Carbon, Vellum, and Electra
- MAC Paintpot in Soft Ochre
- MAC Powder Blush in Tenderling
- MAC Lipstick in Hug Me
- MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack

- MAC Technakohl Liner in Graphblack

Supplemental:
- A brow-filling product - Mascara

Eyes...


[* Cover the entire lid from below the brow to the lash line with Soft Ochre using your finger.
[* Apply a mixture of Blanc Type and Vanilla to hightlight the area underneath the brow bone (217).
[* Pack on Satin Taupe libereally to the entire lid (242).
[* Create a smoky base by applying Smut to the crease and outer V (222).
[* Layer over with Carbon to the desired level of smokiness (222).
[* Combine Vellum and Electra to add shimmer to the inner third of the eyelid (242).

[* Line the lower lash line with Graphblack and then Satin Taupe (242).
[* Line the upper lash line with Blacktrack (263).




Cheeks...


[
* Apply Tenderling to the apples of the cheeks (116).

Lips

[
* Apply Hug Me to the lips.

Additional finishing steps: [Fill in eyebrows using MAC's #208 Angled Brow brush and MAC Eyeshadows in Charcoal Brown and Espresso], [Tame unruly brows using MAC Brow Finisher in Clear], and [Darken lashes using MAC's Plushlash mascara in Plushblack].
