Spring Golden Eye

I wanted to do a shimmering gold look inspired by spring runway trends. Using a mixture of light, medium, and dark-toned golds, the colors meld together more ambiguously -- you can't quite pick out which colors were used or their placement. A bronze-like blush warmed and mattified with a peach-toned one create a natural flush.

Brushes you'll need:
- MAC #'s 217 (blending brush), 242 (shader brush), 266 (small angle brush), and 116 (blush brush)

Products you'll need:
- MAC Eyeshadows in Dazzlelight, Ricepaper, Goldmine, Gorgeous Gold, Amber Lights, and Soba
- MAC Metal X Shadow in Gold Spice from the MetalUrge Collection
- MAC Liquidlast Liner in Molten Sol
- MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
- MAC Powderblushes in Margin and Peaches
- MAC Fluidline in Blacktrak

Supplemental:
- A brow-filling product
- Mascara

Eyes...

[* Apply MAC Paintpot in Painterly all over eyelids as a base using your fingers.
[* Highlight the brow bone first with Dazzlelight in a thin line then layer with Ricepaper in a thicker line on top.
[* Mix Gorgeous Gold and Goldmine to highlight the inner corner of the eye.
[* Pat with a finger covering the middle and outer eyelid going a bit past the crease.
[* Add Amberlights to the outer V
[* Darken the crease with Soba using the 217.
[* Blend the highlighting shades with the medium brown ones with more Ricepaper using the 217.
[* Line the upper lash line with Blacktrak using the 266.
[* Line the lower lash line with Molten Sol.

Cheeks...

[* Using MAC's #116 Blush brush, apply a mixture of Margin and Peaches (dip into Margin first) on the apples of the cheeks extending outward toward the hairline. Add some color to the temples and chin as well using the same shade.

Lips...

[* This is my natural lip color.

Additional finishing steps: [Fill in eyebrows using MAC's #208 Angled Brow brush and MAC Eyeshadow in Espresso], and [Darken lashes using MAC's Plushlash mascara in Plushblack].
